DEIRDRE'S GARLIC GREEN BEANS

Drizzled in a delicious homemade sauce of lemon, garlic and olive oil, this green bean recipe is fantasticly delicious and healthy! Green beans are the perfect accompaniment to a big Sunday dinner of chicken, turkey, or steak. Deirdre showed us the recipe in Northern Cyprus as a side dish to her mouth-watering beef stifado. We also recommend the green beans as a breakfast meal, plated below fried eggs, and sprinkled with grated hard sheep's cheese. Enjoy!
4 large handfuls of green beansof green beans
2 tablespoons olive oil
teaspoon of salt
1 clove garlic
Prep time: 10 min
“Top and Tail” the Green beans or in plain English, remove the ends.
Par boil the beans until they are al dente.
Strain the water, drizzle the olive oil, salt, diced garlic, and the juice from the half lemon.
