The Abergavenny Food Festival is the largest food festival in Wales and it has been running since 1999. The Food festival takes over the medieval town of Abergavenny for a weekend that is certain to open up your gastronomic curiosities. There are forums about food sustainability, farm animals to hang out with, cooking classes, workshops, chef demos, speeches, music, entertainment, and of course food stands! The food stands at the festivals are all of high quality and of people who focus on sourcing locally. The festival is a burst of joy, people are so friendly, and there is a sense of happiness in the air as you walk around this charming medieval town. Aine Morris, the CEO of the festival wants the Abergavenny food festival to encourage people to try new things in a fun environment, to bring together communities, and to strengthen the food culture of this place long after the festival has packed up and gone home.
