Halen mon sea salt

The Recipe Hunters travel to the Island of Anglesey in Wales where they learn how to make the famous Halen Môn Sea Salt PDO. Halen Môn literally translates to Anglesey Salt in Welsh. The sea water is taken from the Menai Strait and evaporated until flaky salt crystals form. The flakes are then dehydrated until there is almost no humidity in the crystals. The result is a crunch, fun to use salt flake that continues to provide you with a little taste of the sea. Halen Môn Anglesey Sea Salt has been granted Protected Designation of Origin status which means it is a culturally significant product that can only be made in Anglesey according to specific methods of production. This PDO label protects consumers against the mislabeling of products and ensure they buy what they intended to buy. Thanks to Tom Jones and the team at Halen Môn for letting us come behind the scenes for a day. You can buy Halen Môn sea salt online at https://www.halenmon.com/

Big Thanks to the talented musicians of Hale for allowing us to use their song "Look! Over There!" and to soundstripe.com for providing us with a platform to find great music!
